Subject: Updates
The new Featured Article for the month of December has been posted. With holiday preperations and all, November's article didn't make it up on time, but a November Article has been added to the Article Archives.

The December Review has also been posted. As with the articles, a November Review has been added to the Review Archives.

Some of you may have noticed a few changes on this site. For one, there is an AOL Hometown banner appearing at the top of each page. America On Line is hosting this web site as part of their service. By registering this site with their Hometown community, we aquired additional space and this site is now listed in their Hometown search engine. Hopefully, this will attract a few new visitors and some fresh voices here on the discussion board.

Some of you may have noticed a more subtle change that has been made to the buttons at the top of the page. For a long time, the "Practioners" button has led to an area that was under construction. Kristina has decided to abandon that idea and instead substitute a new area called The Celestial Perspective ArtSpace. While this area is still under construction, it should be unveiled soon.

This new area will be devoted to both visual and written works of art. Readers are encouraged to submit their own art for display in this area. More information will be provided once the area opens.

Subject: Winter Solstice
Head up, gang! Most of the calendars are wrong...Solstice occurs this year at 2:44 AM tomorrow morning, not sometime late today. As many of you know, Solstice is my favorite holiday during this season, since to me it represents an historical and current union of all faiths and creeds, as well as representing what this yearly cycle is all about. The Solstice this year is particularly significant but not in some kind of spectacular millenial way which seems to be all the planetary rage these days. No...this one is merely something that occurs every 133 years or so since the moon will be at what is called "perigee". Simply stated, that means that the moon will be at the closest point to its parent body (our Sun)as is possible. Hmmm...big deal, you might think. Well maybe. Thing is, the full moon will be brighter than usual. For those who are astrolgically inclined, it also will happen to oppose the Galactic Center of the Milky Way, which to me signifies the hope of furthering not only Global but also Universal Union in a way we have never experienced before. On a personal level, those of us who have planetary energy at +/- 0 degrees Cardinal Signs, or +/- degrees Fixed Signs have yet another opportunity for revelation.

Hmmmm...along those lines, in addition to the ArtSpace I am considering creating an area called "A New Look at Astrology". Anyone interested? Let me know. In the meantime, may you all rock and roll to the depths of your souls on this truly wonderful Solstice! Life is grand, no two ways about it...and moment by moment, the choice is ours to feel this way, to glory in the magnificence which is our Universe, despite any trials and travails we may be currently facing.

Subject: Worldwide Jan 31 Prayer Project
James Redfield (author of Celestine prophesy) and Marianne Williamson (of Course in Miracles fame) have set in place a Worldwide Prayer Project as the clock strikes 12 on 1/1/2000. The jist is that wherever we are, what ever we are doing, we take just one minute to unite together for the upliftment of humakind and the healing of our Earth (my words). If you are interested in participating, visit the following website: Worldwide Prayer

As always, I sure hope I "html'ed" that right! If i didn't, I am sure everyone gets my drift.

Subject: Perigge Full Moon Coorection
I meant to say +/- 15 degrees Fixed signs. Pretty profound for people born in the late 40's and early 50's since this is where our generational Pluto is situated. Simply stated, many of our control constructs are going to be blown apart once and for all. Now this has been long in coming over the last few years, but for many of us this fact will be concretized once and for all. Brave new World, indeed...

Well, Heck! I just heard the weather report and it probably will be cloudy tomorrow night. I really wanted to see that big, bright moon.

It was out last night as well, it just doesn't seem to be quite as bright on other nights, but I don't think it will make much difference.

YOUNGPEOPLE WATCH YOUR STEP, WATCH YOU MINDS, BE CAREFUL WHAT ENBRACE. LISTEN TO YOUR PARENTS OR SOME ONE YOU RESPECT. REALIZE THAT YOUR BODIES ARE THE TEMPLE OF GOD. YOUR BODY IS NOT FOR DRUGS, SEX OUTSIDE OF MARRIAGE, HATRED, MALICE, VIOLENCE, DECEIT. REMEMBER YOUR TEACHERS ARE TRYING TO HELP YOU. THEY HAVE WHAT YOU ARE TRYING TO GET. PUT GOD FIRST IN YOUR LIFE AND YOU WILL SEE YOUR PLANS FLORISHED. TRUST GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART. LIVE THIS LIFE FOR TODAY, BECAUSE TOMMORROW IS NOT PROMISED TO YOU. DON'T BE DECEIVED THERE IS A GOD. LOVE GOD FIRST AND THEN LOVE YOU NEIGHBOR AS YOUR SELF. THESE ARE DIVINE WORDS FROM THE BIBLE.

Subject: New Year's--"The Big Hum"
In her newsletter, my friend Emily (see Links page) who is a Michael channel says that the striking of the clock at midnight will be an extraordinary experience for all who reside on Earth, merely because for at least a moment or two all people will be thinking about the same thing. She reports that her channel Michael says that this is a bigger deal than most people think, that such occasions are very rare. Michael (not a "he" or a "she" but an "entity") calls this sort of thing a "Big Hum". Michael continued to say that the real impact of Y2K in a practical sense will not occur until Monday, January 3rd...I suspect because that is when most folks will be going back to work. On a power level, Michael says that the 3rd week of January will be when the power stuff starts going haywire. In re the above, all the words are my own paraphrasing.

Subject: Bed and Breakfast, Navajo Style
The travel section of Sunday's Cincinnati Enquirer featured a phenom happening in the Navajo Nation---people opening their homes to tourists wishing to experience primitive life in the tradition of native indigenous peoples. No website was given, but anyone interested can phone up 888.726.9084.

Subject: Organic Farming in Europe
Cincy's Enquirer also featured an article about how organic farming on a large scale is gaining a foothold in Europe. Belgium in particular supports this trend. Farmers who have switched over say that while their yields are lower, their profit margin is higher because of the increasing demand for pure foods. The European countries have established strict guidelines for those who claim that their product/produce is organic. Ten surprise visits a year by inspectors are the norm, apparently.

Subject: YOUNGPEOPE
At heart I find myself in agreement with this person's point of view. Yet I would prefer that he/she place a higher value on spelling, grammar and syntax. I find messages like this, full of capital lettering ("SHOUTING"), misspellings and spiritual warnings paraphrasing "THE BIBLE," to bespeak ignorance, anger and self-righteousness. The message intended is not the one received, at least by me. Matthew Prior, a satirist in the late 1600 and early 1700's, made the observation, "They always talk, who never think." Of course, I hesitate to say anything.

Weym, your points are well taken regarding syntax and cyber SHOUT. We left the message up on the discussion board from a benefit of the doubt place--in spirit, it was pure of heart. Also, I think most of us here would agree that citing the Bible as an authoratative source on a global level is foolhardy at best. All sorts of issues come up when one does that--which Bible? --which religion? etc.

"They always talk, who never think" is a quote that gave me pause. Sometimes true, and sometimes not, methinks. I feel that the acid test is ultimately in the import of the words spoken. To me, it's generally easy to figure out who has given much thought before speaking and who is just blowing off excess energy or whatever. On a deeper level, in these trying times it seems to me that those gentle spirits who tend to remain silent are behooved to open their mouths, if only to balance all the rampant craziness which seems to abound these days. Thanks for your thoughts.
