Kristina --
Your books arrived today in my library mail. What a pleasure to open
them up, see the inscriptions, and to do a little browsing through one
of the two copies. I read your touching entry about the lace tribute to
your mother commissioned by your father, and the story by John Carlsen
about Danny. I cried over that one and realized that I'd never get any
work done if I continued to explore the essays. I feel privileged to
have your book and I will take it home where I can give it the
undistracted attention it deserves. I can already see that your book is
full of life's good energy even though it is about death's effects.
Thank you for this honor. I'll treasure my copy and savor reading it.
With gratitude from your cyberfriend and Wells sister...
